A growing trend in some industries is to conduct a phone interview before seeing the candidate. Sometimes this is to save time in the process, other times it might just be because the candidate is remote from the interviewers. The phone interview can be very difficult as you cannot see the body language of the interviewer and as humans we rely very heavily on body language. What you wear to an interview is critical as first impressions count. Too formal or too casual and you bit be seen not to fit the culture of the organisation. Always wear conservative business attire, only in very rare cases is business attire not appropriate.
Remember the interview is not the place for the latest trends, shorts, T-Shirts, midriffs, cleavage and very short skirts. Inappropriate dress is one of the biggest failing of younger people trying to enter the workforce.

Situation: During my graduate placement last year, I was responsible for managing the annual customer Christmas party.
Task: I noticed that attendance by key customers at the event had dropped over the past 3 years and wanted to do something to improve these numbers.

Answering behavioural based questions is a fairly simple process once you know what the interviewer is looking for. During the interview make sure you follow these tips:
Smile and shake hands firmly this shows that you are happy to meet the interviewer and interested in the job.
When talking to people always look them in the eye, remember eye contact is one of the most important aspects of nonverbal communication.
Remember your manners and be polite to everyone you meet. Some organisation use the input from all employees including the receptionist and secretaries in making hiring decisions

Some of the steps in preparing for the interview are:

Learning about the hiring organisation, having no knowledge of what the organisation does is a critical mistake.
Researching the interviewers, as with knowing about the organisation ensure you know who will be interviewing you.
Deciding what additional information you would like about the role and organisation.
Reviewing the job description to determine potential interview questions.
Preparing potential answer to the questions in a behavioural interview style.
